Manitoba Reports a 15th and 16th Death Related to COVID-19.

Manitoba Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin announced the latest COVID-19 numbers this afternoon.  He reported a 15th and 16th death related to COVID in the Southern Region and these are females with one in her 80s and one in their 90s and both are from the Steinbach Health District and were previously announced cases connected to a known outbreak at Bethesda Place.  He noted 20 new cases of the virus have been identified bringing the total of lab confirmed cases to 1264.

             

457 cases are active and 791 individuals have recovered.

             

Roussin also reminds Manitobans of the travel restrictions to the north adding there are exceptions including health reasons, for work, residents returning home and those travelling directly to a campground or lodge. Details will be posted at www.manitoba.ca/covd19.
