Entries are now being taken for the Square Foot Art Exhibition and Auction coming up at the Norva Centre. The Centre’s Cindy McLean says this is their annual fund raiser and the exhibition invites everyone regardless of your age or talent to participate and create their own art. She explains you can pick up your 12 by 12 canvas at Norva for a 25 dollar registration fee and any additional canvases are 5 dollars and the deadline for that will be September 15th. She notes the actual square foot exhibition grand opening will be held on September 24th at 7 pm complete with wine and cheese so they invite the public to come down and have a look at the art that will be displayed there and the live auction of actually selling the art will take place Sunday October 18th.
McLean adds they are also holding a raffle for a 36 by 36 painting by local artist Jerry Hamm with tickets at Norva at 177 Green Street, from any Norva member or online at norvaonlineraffle@gmail.com.
