Arctic Radio and CFAR held the contest 100 Grand in Your Hand over the summer.  Manager Dianne Russell explains sponsorship was collected to support a needed area of our community.  She says they had a great opportunity with this contest this year to be able to raise money for a local group so they looked around and made some calls and they found out that the quality of living for seniors in town is sometimes a little bit down on the totem pole for funding and with what’s going on with COVID and everything they thought it might be a really good fix so the Northern Health Foundation and their two local care homes were very excited to be able to have them raise money for recreation programs for seniors in the community.

Russell adds through major sponsorship from Hudbay and collective sponsorship from over 25 local businesses CFAR was able to deliver two one thousand dollar cheques to be used at Northern Light Manor and the Personal Care Home.
