A free digital therapy program is being offered in Manitoba through a partnership of the provincial government and Morneau Shepell.

Abiliti-C-B-T allows the user to connect with a professional therapist who is trained to help patients deal with pandemic challenges, information overload, and stress management.

Morneau Shepell’s President of Health and Productivity Solutions Nigel Branker explains  as schools open back up parents and teachers may experience stressors as students prepare for in-class learning. He says there are a multitude of stressors that parents and teachers are facing at this time from increased uncertainty and increased demand while already dealing with a general decline in mental health over a challenging summer and it just becomes one of the things to add to their list of concerns that can be overwhelming, so everything from children in the classroom whether you’re a parent worried about the health and wellbeing of you own children and how it’s going to affect your health or whether you’re a teacher feeling that additional sense of responsibility for taking care of the students in your classroom.
