To kick off Flin Flon’s 80th anniversary year you’re invited to a Fire and Ice Family Fun Day on Ross Lake Sunday from 1 to 8. Recreation Manager Mike Dubreuil says throughout the day they are going to have bonfire and skating areas. He says from 1 to 3 they’ll have the Flin Flon Bombers out where you can have an opportunity to skate with them and also starting at one o’clock they’ll have the Kinsmen shoot to win which is a fund raiser for the Kinsmen Club. He also mentioned on top of that they also have Dennis Stringer who’ll be starting to do his chain saw carving at 1 and he understands they are going to hold a raffle throughout the day for that carving.
Dubreuil adds skates have been donated and refurbished and will be available for use by those who don’t have their own skates.
