At this weeks Flin Flon and District Chamber of Commerce meeting President Kory Eastman announced the Chamber is planning to mint a new geocache coin for this year after the success of last years coin with less than one hundred left from the 750 made. The coin will mark the 80th anniversary of the city of Flin Flon and they hope to have it available for this summers Trout Festival.
Eastman also presented member Vair Ellison from H&R Block with the 2012 Membership Referral Reward for promoting the Chamber in the community and bringing a new member into the Chamber.
John Clark was introduced as the new Economic Development Officer for Community Futures Greenstone.
The Chamber accepted a recommendation from the Membership Committee to hold quarterly evening general meetings. They are planned for March 26th, June 25th and September 24th at 6:15 at the Victoria Inn.
The Guest speaker at the next Chamber meeting February 26th will be Flin Flon Mayor George Fontaine.
