No New Cases of COVID-19 Were Again Reported in Manitoba with New Openings Announced in Saskatchewan.

Manitoba Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin announced the latest COVID-19 numbers this afternoon.  He reported there are no new cases, the total number of cases remains at 290, one individual is hospitalized and no one is in ICU and 582 tests were performed taking their total to 36,402 tests.

Roussin reminds you to remain cautious so they can continue to lift restrictions to get the economy moving and get back to a new normal as even with these low numbers the virus is still in Manitoba.

Saskatchewan reports two new confirmed cases bringing the total to 622, 106 cases are considered active and 15 more people have recovered bringing the provincial total to 509. Work is underway on the next phase of the plan to re-open the provincial economy.  Phase two of the plan began this week with phase three to begin June 8th when restaurants and licensed establishments open to 50 percent capacity.  Gyms, fitness centers, childcare facilities, places of worship and personal service businesses not open in phase two will open with guidelines to follow.  The updated plan is available at www.saskatchewan.ca/re-open.
