The CEO of the Northern Health Region, Helga Bryant, says northern Manitobans must remain vigilant in making sure we don't spread COVID-19 as the province continues to re-open for phase one.

Bryant says northern residents have done well to flatten the curve in the region, as we’ve only had three cases of COVID-19, adding that she feels encouraged by the region’s collective efforts.  She states we as northerners have once again come together to collectively support the fight if you want to call it that against COVID.  She says there certainly has been some fear and trepidation especially in the earlier times of COVID, there were communities and individuals who were really anxious about this but she thinks given our numbers, given the good efforts everybody has engaged in it really has helped us rise above that and say you know we’ve got this.

Bryant gave special thanks to First Nations communities and agencies like MKO and KTC and says the communities all have plans to make sure COVID-19 doesn’t reach them.
