More Support Will Be Available for Community Projects in Manitoba.

Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister has announced the expansion of the Building Sustainable Communities Program by 10 million dollars for community groups and municipalities increasing this year’s fund by 25 percent.  He says they are investing in 344 projects all round Winnipeg and across the province to help provide a much needed boost to community based organizations and municipalities and these projects range from playground upgrades to community building repairs to sports equipment to nature trails and many others.  He notes the government’s 10 million dollar investment will lever an additional 18 million for a total of 28 million dollars of investment for these projects through matching private and municipal contributions.

Specific projects will be announced in the coming days and weeks.  For more information on the program visit www.manitobago.ca.
