More Agencies Will Be Enforcing Public Health Orders.

Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister has announced the designation of additional provincial government officials to enforce public health emergency orders in response to the COVID-19 pandemic including health and safety officers under Workplace Health and Safety, inspectors under the Liquor Gaming and Cannabis Control Act, Manitoba Agriculture inspectors and Provincial Park Patrol Officers among others.  He noted this is in addition to other agencies including the RCMP, Winnipeg Brandon and other Municipal Police Services, Community Safety Officers, First Nations Safety Officers and Bylaw Enforcement Officers.

             

Pallister added the over three thousand provincial and municipal officials will operate in their regular roles and provide education and warnings to Manitobans and businesses in their sectors as required with tickets issued as a last resort.
