Reports and Motions Were Part of Wednesdays Creighton Town Council Meeting.

Creighton Town Council met earlier this week via conference call to discuss the latest town business.  Creighton RCMP Sergeant Sean McPhee started off with the community police report for April.  It was a bit different from last year due to COVID-19 and the blockades and new faces in town.  With this being National Road Safety Week there will be more Checkstop enforcement and with more people outdoors there will be no tolerance for public intoxication.

Council mentioned a recommendation to apply for Northern Capital Grant Funding to assist with the purchase of a 2019 Ford half ton truck for the estimated price of 40 thousand dollar with the motion carried. Council also heard a recommendation to authorize the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer to sign the La Ronge Regional Fire/Rescue Services Mutual Aid Area Organization which is an agreement to allow the Creighton Fire Department to provide service beyond the Creighton boundary with the motion carried.

And Bike Safety Week is underway in Saskatchewan and Creighton Pizza is on board once again with ice cream coupons.
