COVID-19 Numbers are Holding in Manitoba.

Public Health Officials reported today no new cases of COVID-19 have been identified.  In addition one case that had been considered probable has been ruled as negative so the total number of cases is now 289.  Four individuals are in hospital with one in intensive care, there are 30 active cases and 252 individuals have recovered.

             

Public Health notes while some gradual lifting of restriction has begun significant work to limit the spread of COVID-19 must continue.  They advise you to remain within or close to your home communities, limit travel to essential trips only and travel is not permitted from southern Manitoba to areas north of the 53rd parallel which is anywhere north of the north end of Lake Winnipeg.

 

Saskatchewan reported five new confirmed cases bringing the provincial total to 582 with four of the new cases in the La Loche area.  178 cases are considered active with 13 more people considered recovered bringing the provincial total to 398.  Ten people are in hospital with three in intensive care.

              COVID-19 testing will soon be available to any Saskatchewan resident working outside the home particularly those returning to work as part of the Re-Open Saskatchewan plan.
