As We Head Towards a Long Weekend You Are Reminded to Stay Safe With No New Cases of COVID-19 Reported in Manitoba.

Manitoba Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin announced the latest COVID-19 numbers this afternoon.  He reports there are no new cases, the total number of cases remains at 290, four individuals are currently hospitalized with one in intensive care, 251 individuals are listed as recovered and there are 32 active cases.

             

Roussin reminds you if you are considering going camping or to the cabin for the long weekend be sure you take everything you need with you to avoid stops along the way, limit your close contacts and if you’re ill stay home. Saskatchewan reported four new confirmed cases bringing the provincial total to 577 with all new cases in the La Loche area.  186 cases are considered active, eleven more people have recovered bringing the provincial total to 385 and ten people are in hospital.  The state of emergency in Saskatchewan has been extended for a period of two weeks.
