One More Case of COVID-19 Has Been Reported in Manitoba.

Manitoba Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin announced the latest COVID-19 numbers this afternoon.  He reported there is one new case so the total number of cases is 284, five individuals are hospitalized with none in intensive care, 247 individuals are listed as recovered and there are 30 active cases.

             

Roussin adds the new case is attributed to the cluster in the Prairie Mountain Health Region bringing the total there to 8 cases.  Affected staff and their close contacts are self isolating and public health officials are continuing with detailed contact tracing.

 

Saskatchewan reports 13 new confirmed cases bringing the provincial total to 544.  12 of the new cases are in the La Loche area bringing the Far North total to 179.  203 of the total cases are considered active, six more people have recovered bringing the provincial total to 335

             

The Saskatchewan Health Authority has ended its outbreak declaration at the Prince Albert Victoria Hospital made after an inpatient tested positive April 30th as no further cases have been discovered.
