Reported Cases of COVID-19 in Manitoba Went Up Slightly Today.

Manitoba Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin announced the latest COVID-19 numbers this afternoon.  He reports two new cases bringing the total number of cases to 284, five individuals are hospitalized with none in intensive care, 242 individuals are listed as recovered and there are 35 active cases.

Public Health officials have now increased the number of cases associated with a workplace cluster in the Prairie Mountain Health Region to seven.  They state there is no cause for concern and this type of increase is not unexpected as contact tracing expands and additional testing is conducted adding this workplace is not related to health care or food supply and does not involve significant interaction with the general public.
