COVID-19 Numbers Continue to Climb in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Saqib Shahab reported 12 new confirmed cases in the province Saturday and four yesterday bringing the provincial total to 433.  81 cases have been reported in the Far North region. 122 of the total cases are considered active, 8 more people have recovered bringing the provincial total to 305.  There are currently 14 people in hospital with three in intensive care.

Dr Shahab says 19 of the new cases announced Friday came from in and around La Loche where the virus is spreading through community transmission after initially coming in from someone who had travelled from northern Alberta.  Several of these tests are still pending and are not yet included in the total figures reported yesterday.
