Manitoba Has Reported the First Death related to COVID-19.

Manitoba Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin announced the death related to COVID-19 this morning pointing out it is his understanding this was the client previously noted to be in intensive care.  He also announced three new cases as of 9:30 this morning bringing the total to 39 with public health investigation continuing to confirm the details on those new incidents.  He reported effective at 12:01 AM Monday they’ll be limiting public gatherings to no more than ten people at any indoor or outdoor place or premises including places of worship, gatherings or family events such as weddings and funerals adding this does not apply to a facility where health care or social services are provided including child care centres and homeless shelters.
