The Manitoba COVID-19 Count Has Gone up by One.

Manitoba Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin announced this morning there is one new case of COVID-19 in the province bringing Manitoba’s total to 36 all in the south.  He says yesterday the provincial lab performed 734 tests for COVID-19 and today they are reporting one new case which is a man in his 20’s who lives in Winnipeg.  He notes Public Health investigation is continuing to confirm the details but it does appear there is a link to a previously announced case

Roussin adds they are expanding their criteria for testing to people at risk of contracting and spreading COVID-19 and are showing symptoms including all symptomatic health care providers, individuals who live or work in a remote or isolated community including First Nations communities and people who work or live in group settings such as correctional facilities, shelters, long term care or residential facilities or remote work camps.
