Manitobans are Advised to Stay Home.

Manitoba Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin is asking Manitobans to cancel all unnecessary travel outside of the province as all 20 cases of COVID-19 in Manitoba have been linked to travel.  He says the recommendation regarding interprovincial travel does not include the commercial transportation of goods and services, workers who may live in neighboring jurisdictions and travel to and from Manitoba to work or normal personal travel in order to commute for essential shopping or visits to the cottage.  He adds now is not the time for non-essential travel.

Roussin again reminds returning travelers to self-isolate for 14 days and if you develop symptoms call Health Links for an assessment on the need for testing.

You can keep up to date with reliable information by visiting provincial websites www.manitoba.ca/covid19 or www.saskatchewan.ca/covid19.  Saskatchewan reports 66 cases three of which are in the north.
