Manitoba Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin says our preparedness and the use of credible information are vital right now. He urges you to go to the government of Manitoba website and Coronavirus as there’s a lot of information there for all individuals, the public, healthcare workers, an employer so please use credible information when making your decisions and now is the time for action.  He advises if you haven’t changed the aspects of the way you live your day to day life you’re not thinking about the role you can play to protect yourself, the people around you and our province at large so now is the time to implement those distancing strategies adding we will be able to get back to our normal day to day living but right now we need Manitobans to focus on what they can do to limit the spread of this virus in our communities.

Roussin notes there is no need for panic buying to stockpile food as Canada has a very efficient food chain.
