Public Facilities Are Temporarily Closing in Flin Flon.

As the COVID-19 virus continues to spread across Canada with cases now emerging in Manitoba, City of Flin Flon Council and Administration have deemed public health and safety a top priority. It is because of this that Flin Flon City Council has made the decision to close all public facilities effective immediately until further notice. Affected facilities include City Hall, Community Hall, the Whitney Forum, and the Uptown Curling Club.

The bus lobby at Community Hall will remain open as bus services will continue to run uninterrupted during this time.  Council meetings will not be open to the public until stated otherwise. Those who have questions for City Hall are encouraged to call their main phone line at (204) 681-7511. Paying bills can be done through your banking institution, or though the dropbox located outside City Hall doors.

City Council and Administration note  they will continue to monitor COVID-19 updates and respond accordingly. The add the latest and accurate federal information on COVID-19 can be found on the Government of Canada’s Public Health website.  They apologize for any inconvenience this may cause; however, it is crucial they prioritize the safety of our community members above all else. Facility operations will resume as normal once it has been declared safe by healthcare professionals.  The Public Library has also closed and will be waiving late fees and the ballet performance slated for Saturday will be rescheduled.
