In response to various announcements about cancellations and suspensions across Canada due to the outbreak of Coronavirus COVID-19 City Administration is ensuring that emergency management plans are in place to address the developing situation with the ongoing spread of the Cornavirus. In a release they state they have discussed different scenarios on what to do with a possible virus outbreak that may affect their organization and how it could affect the functions of the City.  It was determined the Water and Sewer services and Fire Protection services are the top of must operate services and will have resources directed toward continued service in the event of an outbreak.  Other services including recreation may be limited at times or even temporarily suspended according to the needed response.  Services will not be limited unnecessarily.

The City is also instituting hygiene practices to help minimize the potential risks including disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizers and encourage everyone to adopt these practices.
