The Norva Centre is sponsoring the 9th annual Art Retreat at Denare Beach July 19th to 26th. Retreat Organizer Karen Clark says it’s a week to immerse yourself in whatever art interests you have and share ideas with others. She says they have about 25 people who come to the retreat every summer and the activities that occur range from painting and drawing to printing, Raku, glaze firing, batique, fabric dying, some sculpting they’ve had, writers come and there’s a quiet room they can use and it’s just really good fun. She adds it’s at the Denareplex out at Denare Beach and it’s such a beautiful little village and has so many supports for artists while they’re there in terms of getting out in the water and into the forest as well.
The cost is 160 dollars for the week payable at the Norva Centre at 177 Green Street.
