Concerns About Health Care Continue to be Raised.

Churchill Kewatinook Aski Member of Parliament Niki Ashton reports

as she visits throughout our region health care continues to be a major issue.

She reports she has heard major concerns about the provinces privatization of our ambulance services, the loss of birthing services in Flin Flon, the lack of healthcare services in First Nations communities and ongoing concerns about people not having access to the healthcare they need.

She says their NDP caucus will fight to keep what we have and to improve and expand services and have also announced their commitment to expanding Medicare. Ashton explains the current system provides incomplete coverage so they are proposing to expand health care coverage to include dental, eye, hearing, and mental health care which she says is complete coverage that reflects the needs of 21st century Canadians.
