At their meeting Tuesday night Flin Flon City Council received the 2018 annual report from Multi-Material Stewardship Manitoba.  They report just over 84 million kilograms of packaging and printed paper was collected in 2018 which is consistent with previous years.  There were 144 participating municipalities and other partners and they welcomed three new First Nations communities who are actively recycling so 94 percent of Manitoba’s population has access to a residential recycling program.

The Flin Flon Recycling Centre reported earlier this year they recycled just over 510 thousand kilograms in 2018 beating their previous record of 500 set in 2007.
