The Norva Centre is hosting their annual artist retreat and open house next week. The Centre’s Karen Clark says they invited local and out of town artists to share ideas and work on their art. She explains they have a Batik Village that gets created and they also have Raku which happens which is an outdoor firing of pottery and besides these two kinds of activities they have painting, multi-media, print making, there’s a lot of things that happen. She says they have writers and they’re hoping this year to have a couple of composers come by like musical performers and she’s really looking forward to the whole thing.
Clark adds there will be a public display and sale of some of the work done during the week at the annual Retreat Open House Exhibition on Saturday the 20th in the afternoon at the Denareplex in Denare Beach.
