Communities in Saskatchewan are benefiting from 27 traffic safety projects approved for funding from the proceeds of photo speed enforcement. From the fund the Village of Denare Beach will be receiving just over 35 hundred dollars to purchase a speed display sign. The sign which will be similar to the one in front of Creighton School will be purchased soon and will be moved around to various locations in Denare Beach.
Minister responsible for SGI Joe Hargrave says the goal of photo speed enforcement has always been to improve traffic safety by reducing speeding and speed related collisions. Provincial Traffic Safety Fund grants are awarded twice annually with applications for the next round opening July 1st.
