The test is scheduled for 1:55 tomorrow afternoon.
It will go out on cell phones, radio and TV. Not all phones may be able to receive the alert, due to a number of reasons including device compatibility, software and settings.
The Alert Ready system was created to warn Canadians of life-threatening situations such as fires, floods and major weather events.
There is no way to opt-out of the service and the CRTC now requires all devices sold since April 6th of this year to be WPA compatible to receive the alerts.
