Thirteen Puppies Have Their Names.

The RCMP have announced the winners of the 2019 Name the Puppy Contest.  The winning names starting with the letter M will be given to the first 13 puppies born this year at the Police Dog Service Training Center.

             

The winning entry for Manitoba came from Lyila Bruyere from Fort Alexander with the name Makwa.  Other winning names were Mace, Madox, Magnum, Maple, Marci, Marlow, Max, Maya, Memphis, Mika, Milly and Moose.  The 13 winners will each receive an official RCMP baseball cap, a plush dog called Justice and a laminated photo of the puppy they named.  The Center received a record 34,714 entries from children in every province and territory.
