Flin Flon Students are Part of a Provincial Heritage Fair.

McIsaac and Ruth Betts School students are travelling to Winnipeg today to participate in the Red River Heritage Fair at the University of Manitoba.  One of the local organizers Susanne Westhaver says students will be taking their winning projects from the local Heritage Fair held in March. She explains they are taking 15 students and their 9 projects and travel all day today, set up projects this evening, the fair is all day tomorrow and they have a two hour break in the afternoon where they go down to The Forks and Friday they do a couple of tours.  She says in past years they have won the Spirit Award which is a tour of the Delnavert Museum so they’ll be taking that in the morning and a tour of the Legislature later in the morning and they should be back in Flin Flon hopefully by 9 o’clock on Friday.

This is the sixth year local students have taken part in the Red River Heritage Fair.
