The Women’s Resource Center is holding a Jail N Bail fund raising event during the Leisure Show at the Creighton Sportex Thursday through Saturday.  The Center’s Executive Director Colleen Arnold explains volunteers do hard time for a good cause by collecting and donating bail money. She says the event begins when participants contact the Women’s Resource Center and request to turn themselves in or they can have their boss, spouse, a politician, a friend or a co-workers arrested and then the mock police officer arrests the jailbird and whisks them off to jail and then the jailbird starts raising bail prior to their arrest and the donations go the the Women’s Safe Haven.

Over the past four years they have raised almost 9 thousand dollars for the Safe Haven.  Arrest forms are available by contacting the Women’s Resource Center at 204-681-3105 and forms can be faxed or emailed to you.  All bail donations of 20 dollars or more will receive a tax receipt.
