Hudbay has approved an early works program at its Rosemont project and provided its annual mineral and resource update.  President Alan Hair says they are pleased to be moving forward at Rosemont in Arizona to carrying out the early works in parallel with financing activities for the project.  He adds they continue to drive momentum across their business with the Snow Lake Lalor Mine’s successful ramp up to 45 hundred tonnes per day, extending Flin Flon’s Triple Seven mine life to 2022 and moving Rosemont forward in a prudent manner.

The report states the Triple Seven Mine life has been extended to the second quarter of 2022 based on the most recent estimate of mineral reserves.   It also notes they expect Lalor annual gold production to more than double from current levels once the New Britannia mill is refurbished in 2022 and the updated resource model at Lalor includes 5.9 million tonnes of inferred mineral resources which have the potential to extend mine life beyond ten years while feeding both the Stall and New Britannia mills.  Hudbay also continues to conduct drilling on the new discovery in the Snow Lake region and is encouraged by the mineralization intersected in recent holes.
