The Women’s Resource Centre is holding a free workshop for women called the Mindful Way. The Centre’s Marci Lyon says it’s an eight week workshop based on mindfulness techniques to recharge and rebuild the life you want. She explains it helps to build the courage to heal, confidence and it focuses on how wherever and whatever we are doing we can learn to disengage from unhelpful and unintended mental thoughts. She adds the key is in learning how to settle the mind and they’re exploring personal reactions and feelings to unpleasant or painful experiences. She notes this group is a safe, non-judgmental and supportive space to take time to recharge, rebuild and help you live the life you want.
The workshop will run Tuesday afternoons from 1:30 to 3:30 February 26th to April 16th. To register call Marci at the Women’s Resource Centre at 204-681-3105.
