Saskatchewans Lieutenant Governor was in Creighton Yesterday.


Lieutenant Governor W. Thomas Malloy visited Creighton Community School to present student awards for last years achievements.


His Lieutenant Governor’s Award was presented to grade twelve student Victoria Pedwell.  Northern Saskatchewan Student Achievement Awards were presented to Myles Patterson for grade eight, for grade nine Victoria Watkins and Abbey Cowper, for grade ten Bree Patterson and Lauren Fox, for grade eleven Hunter Brasch and for grade twelve Victoria Pedwell and Aline Nasselquist.


The Northern Student Achievement Awards were established in 1989 by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education.  The Lieutenant Governor’ Award of excellence recognizes one student from across the province at each grade level from 7 to 12.  The award criteria include academic standing, school attendance and involvement in cultural activities.
