Impact Youth is being held Thursday nights at the Alliance Church. One of the organizers Kayla Kemp explains it’s a program for youth 11 to 18 to explore their faith. She says they usually play games, have a time of worship, a snack, watch a video or listen to a talk and then depending on the size they’ll break into groups and discuss the topic for the night and then usually end in prayer, but also have nights where they’ll visit the senior’s residences or prepare freezer meals to give to people in need as well as occasional movie nights. She adds their main vision behind it is to provide a safe place for youth to come, open up and be real with each other and they want to see them transformed though the Gospel of Jesus that the youth would see how loved and valued they are by God and in turn show that love to those around them that they would each know they have a purpose and incredible power to make an impact on the world around them simply by living out their faith.
Impact Youth is free and runs from 7 to 9 Thursday nights at the Alliance Church at 237 Green Street. For information you can call Kayla at 204-271-5357 or Lia at 204-271-3738.
