The 16th annual Manitoba Arts Networks Rural and Northern Juried Art Show is underway in Winnipeg. It features selected works submitted to the Regional Juried Art Shows held across Manitoba each year. This year’s show features sixty artists including Flin Flon Artists Karen Clark, Rosimeire Anjos, Matthew Enns and Kim Smedegaard as well as Elaine Angelski and Brandy Bloxom from Denare Beach. Brandy picked up second prize at the Manitoba show for her photo titled A Century Lost.
The Network states the show provides an opportunity for artists in the north and rural regions to present their work to an urban audience and gives Winnipeg audiences an idea of the scope of work being created outside the perimeter. The show is free and is being held at the Buhler Gallery at St. Boniface Hospital and is open Monday to Friday from 10 to 8 and Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 4 until September 30th.
