Cannabis Should Be Available at the Retail Level.

City Hall Christmas Tree

At the Flin Flon City Council meeting last night Mayor Cal Huntley announced they have advised the Association of Manitoba Municipalities that they agree in principal with the sale of Cannabis in our community once it becomes legal.  He says it will be available online anyway and delivered to your home.  But he says there’s a lot more information needed on how it will be handled at the retail level before it becomes available.

Council approved an agreement between the City and Mark Kolt for his two year term as City Solicitor.  They also approved the appointment of Kathryn Drapak as Denare Beach’s representative on the Flin Flon Public Library Board.

Council also agreed to renew their membership in the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association at a cost of $651.17, they accepted the Fire Chief report for November indicating three incidents during the month, they approved on final reading a Traffic Bylaw amendment to allow the Citizens on Patrol to place their speed reading trailer at various locations around the community and Mayor and Council wished everyone a Merry Christmas and all the best in 2018.
