Seniors Housing Was Questioned in the Manitoba Legislature.

In his reply to the Pallister government’s throne speech Flin Flon MLA Tom Lindsey raised the government’s lack of commitment to seniors housing particularly in Flin Flon where constant review seems to be the answer because they don’t have the courage to say yes or no. He says the last conversation he had about the building of the Hemlock Seniors Complex was in September this year and still under review adding still under review seems to be the standard answer when they’re afraid to say something has been cut and that’s clearly what’s happening here.

Lindsey also mentions other issues missing from the throne speech such as a job strategy for the north with 15 hundred known job losses coming in Flin Flon, Thompson and other points or a plan for roads, tourism, cell phone service, the high cost for internet and following up on the Look North report.
