Local School Nutrition Programs Have Received Support From Canada Post.

The Child Nutrition Council of Manitoba has received 10 thousand dollars from the Canada Post Community Foundation.  The money is used to support breakfast, snack and lunch programs in Manitoba schools. For 2017 funding will go schools across the province including 24 schools in northern Manitoba. That includes Cranberry Portage Elementary School and in Flin Flon Hapnot Collegiate, Many Faces Education Centre and Ruth Betts Community School.  In 2016-17 the Child Nutrition Council funded over 200 child nutrition programs across Manitoba providing 20 thousand children and youth with consistent healthy meals.

The Canada Post Community Foundation’s mission is to have a positive effect on children in the communities that Canada Post serves by supporting registered charities, school programs or local initiatives that benefit children.
