Calm Air is Looking at Improved Service.

The president of Calm Air Gary Bell was one of the guests at last week’s Thompson Chamber of Commerce lunch meeting. He said he wants to apologize to everyone who has flown with Calm Air during the last few years.  He says as they have gone through their transition they have been short aircraft sometimes, they have been short flight crews sometimes so their on time performance has suffered during a lot of that transition.  He says they were down to a point where they were down to about 55 percent on time performance which is not good at all.

Bell added the airline was transitioning between the old planes and a new fleet. He said they expect to be 90 percent plus on time by the end of the year.
