The Flin Flon Neighborhood Revitalization Corporation is hosting an information meeting on Thursday at noon. The Corporation’s Laurence Gillespie says members of the Neighborhoods Alive staff will be on hand to explain how the Neighborhood Renewal Program can benefit community groups. He explains the Neighborhood Renewal Fund has been a long term operation of the provincial government but its operation was suspended for a year and a half following the last election and so this is the first time that they have opened the doors again for community groups to apply for funding for various community projects and they’re fortunate that Neighborhoods Alive staff are going to be coming to town to explain how the current intake will be handled.
The information meeting will be held Thursday at noon in the Flin Flon City Council chambers. The deadline for applications to the program is September 11th.
