Saskatchewans Screening Program for Breast Cancer mobile bus will be in Creighton September 1st to 13th at the Sportex. Manager Jocelyn Smith says early detection is a woman’s best defense against breast cancer. She explains finding breast cancer early means less invasive treatment and a better survival rate. She encourages all women 50 years and older to have a screening mammogram while their bus is in your location. She advises women to call their toll free number 1-855-584-8228 for a mammogram appointment and a doctor’s referral is not needed.
Screenings will take place from 8 am to 8 pm daily. After Creighton they will move to Pelican Narrows from September 14th to 20th.
