At the Flin Flon City Council meeting Tuesday night Mayor Cal Huntley reported he is really impressed and amazed at the amount of renovations going on leaving the community looking really good.  He says people are taking the city’s Clean and Green initiative seriously and taking care of their properties.

Councilor Bill Hanson had praise for Channing Beach and the fact people are cleaning up after themselves resulting in a beautiful beach that is being well used.  Mayor Huntley added he was told over 50 people were at the beach at times.

 Councilor Guy Rideout noted there’s one area that still needs work.  He has heard ongoing complaints about people not cleaning up after their dogs.  Council reminds dog owners it is their responsibility to pick up and properly dispose of residue left by their dogs.

And Council agreed to make a donation in kind to the Flin Flon Arts Council for Culture Days running September 29^th, 30^th and October 1^st. It will help offset the costs associated with the use of the Community Hall and Rotary Wheel.
