Creighton Community School is running its annual bike safety program this week. School Coordinator Carol Sutherland explains the theme for Bicycle Safety Week is Building Safe Bikers One Snap at a Time so reducing the risk of injury by practicing safe cycling behaviors such as wearing a helmet, looking both ways before crossing the street and obeying traffic lights and signals. She says the annual CCS Bike Rodeo testing day is May 18th. If you are interested in assisting with the Bike Rodeo please contact the School at 688-5138.
The bike safety program runs all this week with assistance from the RCMP who did classroom sessions yesterday as well as the school and parent volunteers.
