A Free Workshop and Readings Are Coming Up at the Library.

 

 

The Flin Flon Public Library continues to host their Ore Sample Writers Series Thursday.  Administrator Courtney Campbell says it will start with a free workshop from 5:45 to 6:45 titled Memories The Past at Home in the Present with visiting author Candace Savage.  She explains Savage most recently wrote a book called the Geography of Blood Unearthing Memories from a Prairie Landscape and it won three Saskatchewan book awards and a 60 thousand dollar Hilary Weston Writers Prize for non-fiction and she’s currently exploring the story of the family who built and first occupied her home in Saskatoon.

             

Following the workshop readings will take place at 7 hosted by local writer and entertainer Kevin Imrie with readings by Candace Savage and local writer Myrna Guymer whose book The Canadian Shield Alphabet is at the Library.  The event is free and everyone is welcome.
