A Home Was Destroyed by Fire Early Yesterday Morning.

At approximately 2:35 yesterday morning the Flin Flon Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire at 84 Callinan Street.  Fire Chief Chad Cooper reports upon arrival fire crews found heavy smoke visible from the rear of the building.  They deployed fire attack hoses to the rear of the building to attack the fire and search for any occupants.  Due to a partially collapsed floor and fire in the basement they were transitioned into a defensive fire attack from outside the building.

Cooper says it was an extremely difficult and stubborn fire to fight.  He says the fire was concealed within void spaces and several additions to the home over the years which made it very difficult to find the seat of the fire.

All occupants escaped the fire and there were no injuries reported.  Cooper says the home is a complete lloss and the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
