A Local Office Will Continue to be Open.

The future of the Flin Flon Neighborhood Revitalization Corporation hung in the balance awaiting the Manitoba budget last week.  Their Executive Director Laurence Gillespie says they have received some good news from the budget.  He says it shows the funding for the Neighborhoods Alive program which is the provincial government program that funds the operation of their office has not been reduced so it would seem that it’s likely that their office will be allowed to continue to operate for the coming year.  He adds what they don’t know is whether they will be able to administer the two programs they traditionally run which are the small grants and the fix up program as the funding situation for those is not clear at this point.

Gillespie says he will let us know when funding for their programs is confirmed.  You can contact Laurence’s office at 204-687-6972 for more information.
