A Prince Albert Man is Richer Following a Successful Fishing Derby.

The Flin Flon Rotary Club held their third annual Flinty Fishing Derby yesterday at Sally’s Beach at Bakers Narrows.  440 people were fishing with 38 prizes and 31 fish caught. Prizes were awarded to the 31 people catching fish with draws for the remaining seven prizes.

             

The top five included Shaun Brown from Prince Albert first with an 85 centimeter fish receiving 25 thousand dollars, second Michelle Olynick of Flin Flon receiving a 14 foot Lund boat and 15 horsepower motor for an 81 centimeter fish, third Bob Gummerson of Flin Flon winning a Polaris Quad for a 75 centimeter fish, fourth Brian Souter of Flin Flon winning two return tickets anywhere Calm Air flies for a 73.5 centimeter fish and fifth Glen Whitbread of Flin Flon a Polaris generator with a 71.5 centimeter fish.

             

Fishing ran from 11 to 2 with the first fish caught at 11:03 and the last one at 1:59.
