Flin Flon and District Chamber of Commerce President Dianne Russell updated members on the Northern Economic Development Strategy Task Force outreach meeting held here Friday. Chair Chuck Davidson met with Hudbay, Hapnot Collegiate students, City Council and Chamber Members. Area representatives will be invited to attend a Look North Policy seminar to be held in The Pas April 3rd and 4th. The goal is to grow the economy of the north by promoting the opportunities offered in the north to the rest of Manitoba and Canada.
Homecoming co-Chair Colleen McKee reported an additional 400 tickets are being offered on Friday for the Homecoming at picatic.com or at City Hall. They have already sold 1921 tickets. The Chamber will use the opportunity to showcase our community.
The Chamber welcomed six new members while reminding members membership renewals are now due.
