It Was A Busy Weekend at Denare Beach.

The 38th annual Denare Beach Winter Festival opened on Friday with a musher’s supper and wrapped up Saturday night with awards and entertainment. Event winners included for Kids Got Talent Precious Montgrand, turkey curling the Durettes team followed by the Butterball Bangers and the Denare Beach Fire Department and in the fishing derby the biggest fish went to Clint Banting, smallest Rick Banting, oldest fisherman Ken Chartrand, youngest Janea Neufeld, furthest away Shauna Jensen of Medicine Hat Alberta, first fish caught Lynette Kemp and second fish Craig Cowper.  The King Trapper was Brent Merasty and Queen Trapper Nikki Bayleff.  Bingo players packed the hall Saturday afternoon.
